Megan & Dave: A Real 2020 Style Wedding - Rain or Shine

After their June 2020 wedding was canceled Meg and Dave still wanted to make their union official and chose to wed at the Conservatory Garden in Central Park. On a rainy Wednesday afternoon this past November Meg & Dave married alongside a few close family members, their dog Zeus, and Dave’s family via FaceTime: a true 2020 union. If I had to pick one shoot this year that truly encompassed 2020 it would be theirs. Between the rain, the masks, the small gathering, and technology the culmination of events leading up to their day over the past year brought out the importance in simplicity and making it happen despite challenges, in the safest of ways. The rain kept out parkgoers and Meg and Dave were able to have a super private ceremony in the rain, which though not ideal from a photography standpoint, made it all the more special and memorable. Meg & Dave got their dog Zeus in early 2020 and he has been a bright light and ball especially during this crazy year - needless to say he played a big part in their day and the rain only enhanced his lovable energy.
