Picture-Minded 2020 Reset
2020 has forced us to not plan too far into the future and live very much so in the present. This Summer I have been hitting the reset button on my wedding photography business - mostly by force of Covid - as traditional weddings as we know them have been derailed but also because I moved out of the city (with plans to just stay away for the Summer - but who knows the timeline anymore?!) and have more space to try out some studio photography. Through the rest of the Summer I’ll be sharing some of my new efforts / projects here. These include:
1. My Print Shop (launching this Monday!) : I have definitely been overthinking my print shop, but have finally decided on how I want to present and sell my work. I can’t wait to share!
2. My Studio/product photography Efforts: My favorite thing about not living in NYC during Covid is having more space. The space has allowed me A. not have to constantly duck out of my husbands zoom calls, and 2. to create a space for a photo studio! I have been playing around with the lighting and attempting to create some still life photography that I look forward to posting.
3. Past Wedding Photography Content (and some new coming this Fall!) - I don’t want to totally put my wedding photography to the wayside and its always nice to look back and reminisce - also one of these days all these postponed weddings will come back with a bang.
Just as I was planning to post all this Tuesday evening but here I am 48 hours later posting due to lack of power post hurricane, and just as we are in the midst of rearranging our timelines and schedules due to Covid we must face that what we plan may never see the light of day but still we adjust and change and reset.
All the Love,
Stephanie
