Socially Distanced Family Shoot in Red Hook, Brooklyn
The week before I moved out of the city for the Summer I was able to sneak in an NYC socially distanced family session. At first I thought of getting a bit more creative with the shoot since it was my first shoot since Covid took over NYC. But shooting through windows or a vast sprawling landscape is not NYC’s backdrop - we get a bit more up close and personal. Hazel, Colleen, Ryan and I met in Coffey Park, a small park in Red Hook off the beaten track. It was baby Hazel’s first session and was also her first encounter with grass! How fascinating - oh the things we aren’t accustomed to in this concrete jungle esp. during Covid! It was so refreshing to capture this family and be reminded that their are smiles behind all those masks.
